Prodavinci - The walkways and gardens of La Palomera suspended from the ceilings of el Arsenale at the Biennale di Venezia - Part II

Article written by Elisa Silva for the digital magazine Prodavinci about the participation of Enlace Arquitectura in the Biennale di Venezia 2021. Published on August 16, 2021 about

This is the second part of a series of articles on the participation of the Venezuelan project "Complete City: La Palomera, acknowledgement and celebration." This time Elisa describe step by step the human and technical resources that helped build and create and build the suspended model.

“The motivation for designing and creating it emerges from the desire and insistence that we see Caracas as a single city. Instead of continuing to distinguish it as a “legitimate” city of “planned” territories on the one hand and “illegitimate” self-built neighborhoods on the other, just as the cartography insisted on maintaining until very recently. The model of La Palomera rather celebrates and re-signifies a bit of Caracas' topography and morphology”.
